Common QuestionsWhen should I start music lessons?Every person has the ability to learn music and we work with students of all ages. There are however some general guidelines for when is best to start particular instruments. Piano age 5, Guitar age 7, Drums age 6, Violin age 6. Keep in mind that these are general guidlines. Success in music is dependent on many things including but not limited to the ability to recieve instruction for 30 minutes, level of parental involvement, quality of instrument. If you are not sure if your student is ready, we would be happy to set up a trial lesson to test the waters.
How do lessons work? You show up for your private, weekly 30 minute reserved time each week. The teacher will teach your student at his/her pace to be sure they are understanding the musical concept for that week. Some homework will be assigned then the student works on that concept at home. This process will repeat each week.
What if I can't attend my reserved lesson time? It’s always best to attend your lessons on a regular basis but we know things come up and you just can't get here. This is why we offer 3 ways to get your lesson during your scheduled lesson time. In-person, Online, or in a personalized video from your teacher. These 3 options will keep your lessons moving forward and on track.
We don't have an instrument yet. Where can we get one?Not a problem! We've done the work for you buy selecting high quality/low cost instrument options for purchase or for rent.
